These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all orders placed by the customer (“you”) with FreezeCar (“FreezeCar”, “we”, or “us”), via the website freezecar.com.

2. Ordering and Contract

  • 2.1 To place an order, you must be at least 18 years old and possess the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
  • 2.2 Once you have placed an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This email is an acknowledgement that we have received your order, but it does not confirm acceptance of your offer to buy the product.
  • 2.3 A binding contract is formed only when we send a shipping confirmation or dispatch the products.
  • 2.4 We reserve the right to cancel orders if the product is out of stock, if there is an error in the price/description, or if we cannot ship to your location due to Dangerous Goods regulations.

3. Prices and Payment

  • 3.2 For EU Customers: Prices include VAT (Value Added Tax) at the applicable rate for your country (under the EU OSS scheme) or Swedish VAT, depending on current tax thresholds.
  • 3.3 Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

4. Shipping and Delivery

  • 4.1 We ship from our warehouse in Sweden to countries within the European Union.
  • 4.2 Dangerous Goods: Our products (aerosols/refrigerants) are classified as Dangerous Goods. They must be transported by road (ADR). Air freight is not possible. This may result in slightly longer delivery times compared to standard parcels.
  • 4.3 Estimated delivery times are [3-7 business days] depending on your location in Europe.
  • 4.4 If a package is damaged upon arrival, you must document it (take photos) and report it to the carrier and our customer service immediately.

5. Right of Withdrawal (Returns)

  • 5.1 As an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason.
  • 5.2 Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply if the seal on the gas bottle/can has been broken. Due to safety and chemical stability, opened pressure vessels cannot be returned.

  • 5.4 You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Please note: Returning dangerous goods (pressurized aerosols) requires specific labeling and carrier services. You must ensure the return shipment complies with transport regulations.

6. Product Liability and Safety (Important)

  • 6.1 Professional Use / DIY: Our products are designed for DIY (Do-It-Yourself) use, but it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have the necessary knowledge to use them safely.
  • 6.2 Safety Gear: You must wear protective eyewear and gloves when using our products. Refrigerant can cause frostbite if it contacts skin or eyes.
  • 6.3 Legal Compliance: Regulations regarding the handling of refrigerants vary by country. By purchasing, you confirm that you are complying with the local laws and regulations of your country regarding the purchase, possession, and use of hydrocarbon or fluorinated refrigerants.
  • 6.4Limitation of Liability: FreezeCar is not liable for:
    • Damage to the vehicle caused by improper use, overfilling, or using the wrong refrigerant.
    • Personal injury caused by failure to follow safety instructions.
    • The failure of the product to fix the AC system if the system has mechanical faults (e.g., broken compressor, large leaks).
  • 6.5 Stop Leak Disclaimer: Our “Stop Leak” products are designed to seal minor rubber O-ring leaks. They cannot repair large mechanical holes or cracked metal condensers. We do not guarantee that the product will fix every leak.

7. Warranty and Complaints (Reklamation)

  • 7.1 We follow the Swedish Consumer Purchase Act (Konsumentköplagen). You have a 3-year right of complaint for manufacturing defects.
  • 7.2 If you receive a defective product (e.g., a bottle that arrived empty due to a valve defect), please contact us immediately for a replacement or refund.
  • 7.3 The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or if the gas leaks out of your car after filling due to leaks in your vehicle’s system.

8. Personal Data (GDPR)

  • 8.1 We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • 9.1 These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Sweden.
